Day 139 oqossoq 13 miles
I started out early this morning feeling a bit sheistered by the people at the cabin. Yesterday didn't need to be the 10 mile day that they insisted on. I met Inchworm for the first time and her husband Sherpa for the second time. We started out and had a mucky but rough day.

Day 132 Mizpah Hut 10 miles
Today I got up early to find a slug had crawled into my camp shoe. I dug it out with my comb. As usual, Walker headed out about an hour before me. I left at 630 and made it down to Crawford Notch. I hitch hiked into the AMC centre for breakfast and to catch up on email. A lady gave me a ride back and I headed up the cliff. It was an exciting morning with a lot of rain and then clear skies at the top. I hiked into Mizpah shelter to find six of the weekend warriors I met the day before at the hut. I will do work for stay here tonight and hopefully head up and over Mt Washington tomorrow.

Day 131 Ethan pond campsite 12 miles
I said goodbye to nectar, spitz and sww and the crew at the hut and headed north after a big breakfast. Walker came through and we sang him happy birthday in Spanish before he took off. The day was relatively easy. I hit the Zealand hut late at about 2pm and ate the leftover morning pancakes while chatting with weekenders. I headed off and got dumped on by rain during the last hour. I was throughly soaked by the time that I got to the campsite to join walker. I'm getting sick of flicking slugs off my gear when I wake up in the morning. I have a old and the chills and am hoping it won't affect me as I summit washington tomorrow.
Day 130 galehead hut 10 miles
The mountains today were rough but fun. I headed up the steep embankment of rocks that Cam said had all been put there by summer workers over the years. I met several cool southbounders today including a guy named yonder and another guy named smithee. We exchanged a lot of information which slowed my hike but made for a great day. Smithee gave me the last of his food because he was on his way to town and yonder gave me a homemade sesame bar. I will try to resupply tomorrow. I made it to the hut and met southbounders spitz, nectar and sww. The crew here fed us very well. We did work for stay and will sleep on the floor tonight.
Day 129 liberty springs campsite 11 miles
Today I got up after having a long conversation with a southern baptist minister and unicorn. I headed out and made it to my first hut in the whites. They fed me soup, gossip and brownies. After a while I headed out down to the main trail head and under the highway. I got up to the campsite by. 6pm where I did a work for stay with cam.
Day 128 Eliza brook shelter 14 miles
Today I finally made it I to the whites. I got over Mausilake and had a lot of fun with the first real climb in a long time. I am surrounded by section hikers. There was trail magic to get me to Eliza's.
