Day 86 Rausch gap 18 miles

After a cold night in the shelter, we got up and did an 18 mile day. The terrain was flat and rocky but still nothing brutal. We are all anticipating the infamous "rocks of Pennsylvania" that can destroy you. Met up with z who was leaving the shelter to stay at a campsite by the water. Trudger, Vegas, Clark kent, the warbler and I joined in.

Day 85 peters mountain shelter 11 miles

We headed out this morning late and went for breakfast. Our stomaches were full but punkin pie's wife Gloria made us eat strawberry rhubarb pie. It was amazing. There was a Memorial Day parade and we left. I got my new shoes and pack belt at the Doyle and tried them out today. So far so good. And we met a group of zombies out of town.

Day 84 duncannon 26.2 miles

Z, gimpy and I headed out early and did a long day into duncannon. It was a very wet day followed which turned into wind. i made it into the Doyle hotel in time to wash my clothes, get dinner and have a shower. The rusty hotel reminded me of the muppet show. We joined Mott, punkin pie the warbler and Clark kent. It was a riot.

Day 83 Boiling Springs 20 miles

We got up early but got away late. Sanchez is gone and left his trail journal by accident. Z and I walked with gimpy on the way to boiling springs. We camped at the town camping spot which was right next to the rails.

The train was really loud at night. We were joined by trudge, Vegas, Ned from wales, the tattoo artist. We ate pizza and refuelled for 1 day.
