Day 52 Sarver Hollow Shelter 21 miles

I left camp early this morning. Grandpa got up in the middle of the night to light a fire and again at 6am. I hiked on my own for the whole day and heard a lot of owls, and mice. Today we passed by the oldest tree on the trail and saw a lot of piles of rocks at the tops of ridge lines. It is eerie to see the homes of where people once lived before the government took them. Tonight I am at a shelter with Clark kent, zippo and ditto. The shelter is beautiful but we are near the remains of old houses.
