It rained a lot today. I hiked on my own for most of the day.there was a lot of muck and I saw the same two section hikers I have seen over the last couple of days. I passed bus country store and ate some food and the headed up a steep hill. I got to cloud land but it was closed so I hiked on to the shelter. It was my second nigh alone. I got trail magic from Sandman's mom and fell really hard on a rock in the rain.

Day 121 stony brook shelter 10 miles
I took it slow and easy today after waking up late from the rain. I left camp at 9am and made my way down to the state park. I cleaned up a bit and dried out my socks. I plan to start doing more mileage again tomorrow.
Day 120 tucker Johnston shelter 18.6 miles
I woke up today with the idea of Catching Logan. Hitch hiking out of Rutland took a long time and eventually some other hikers picked me up. My feet are nasty again with all the wet weather. I walked late into the dark with rain passing the 500 mile mark. I gave up looking for a shelter that was supposed to be built by 2013. It was my first time camping alone. It felt surprisingly amazing and relaxing. I got into camp at 10:30 pm after disturbing a lot of porcupines along the trail. I ordered a new credit card online and now have 85 bucks to make it to warren NH. I also ordered a new cell phone case, a bug shirt and a cover for my platypus.

Day 119 yellow deli hiker hostel 7 miles
I got more trail magic today from sandman's mom. Apple pie!!! I hitch hiked into town to the infamous yellow deli known for their cult like lifestyle. It turned out to be a messianic/Jewish/hippy feat. Friday is their sabbath so it was free. I got in, refuelled at Walmart and slept from 4pm till morning.
Day 118 greenwall shelter 15 miles
I got up this morning and could hardly move from the Benadryl. I could only manage 7 miles by noon. It was a slow day and I spent the evening with two section hikers. I plan to Nero into Rutland tomorrow.
Day 117 Peru peak shelter 20 miles
Today poured rain. I came down off the trail and did 10 miles into town. Oz and patch got a ride with a section hiker and we met Ned and Logan there. I got to the outfitters and bought a new shirt and some deet. The boys went back out in the rain while I sat at McDs and caught up on blogging. I hitched out after the rain and hiked in to find the gang plus earl grey and Garfunkel. I took some Benadryl because patch said it would stop me from scratching my mosquito bites. It knocked me out cold.

Day 116 Stratton pond shelter 19 miles
Today started hot and mosquito-y and ended in pouring rain itch thunder. Oz, patch, Sophie (yes the dog) summited the mountain and climbed the tour (Sophie too). Thus began our day. I hiked alone and summited the next mountain that was supposed to have had a moose prowling around. I missed it but apparently Sophie found it. I got to the shelter late while the rain was pouring down. The shelter was packed with Boy Scouts, chief (a yoyoer), Oz, and Patch.
